Quasi planar Ising models through the Kac-Ward matrix and a graph zeta function

A streamlined derivation of the Kac-Ward formula for the planar Ising model’s partition function will be reviewed and a K-W like formula extended to a family of quasi-planar interactions. We shall also discuss in this context the relation of the model’s emergent fermionic structure with the Kac-Ward weighted walks.
