What is the schedule for the rest of this term, the exam period, and post-exam period ?

Please see the Key Dates page: here

I am feeling extremely anxious and stressed about the rest of term and upcoming exams. Are there resources available that I can access ?

Please visit the Student Wellness Hub here: the Hub has many resources that may be helpful.
Also, see this page which contains a similar set of links.

I am having difficulty accessing the materials for my course; what can I do ?

First, contact your instructor and notify them of the difficulty; they may be able to direct you to static versions of the material. If you are experiencing technical challenges due to financial hardship, the Scholarships and Student Aid Office may be able to assist you.

My instructor is using Zoom for teaching class and holding office hours; where can I find information on Zoom ?

The TLS website has a lot of information about Zoom: https://www.mcgill.ca/tls/instructors/class-disruption/tools/zoom

I want to join the Zoom lectures and conferences that my instructor is holding, but I am concerned about privacy issues.

Although Zoom publishes a privacy policy applicable to their individual customers, as a institutional account McGill uses an integrated solution to deliver Zoom services for remote teaching. As part of this integrated solution, the information shared with Zoom is limited to the following: first name, last name, full name, McGill user email address, participant’s role (instructor or student), course name. Recordings of online sessions are temporarily stored on Zoom infrastructure before they are automatically extracted and imported into McGill systems and deleted from the Zoom infrastructure once the transfer is complete. Information and privacy protections provided by Zoom have been reviewed and are monitored through the University’s continuous improvement process.

My instructor is using Zoom for teaching, but I was not able to join the class at the scheduled time.

Your instructor will be recording the Zoom sessions, or providing equivalent recordings, and placing these recordings on myCourses. Please contact them for details.

When is my final exam ?

If your course has a final exam, it will take place at the time specified in the Examination Schedule; however, contact your instructor or review their revised course outline/method of evaluation, as the final exam may have been replaced by an alternative form of assessment.

The extended period for submission for Take Home exams means that I have two exams that overlap. Does this mean I have an exam conflict ?

All conflicts were dealt with in the construction of the original exam schedule, and the extended period for Take Home exams is intended to allow you to overcome any accessibility issues that you might encounter. Therefore overlapping exams do not necessarily constitute a conflict: please see https://www.mcgill.ca/exams/covid19

What should I do if I have questions during my final exam ?

Your instructor will give clear instructions about how to contact them during the final exam; please review the course website and/or myCourses.

I have questions concerning declaring S/U in a course.
