Important Information

  • Students cannot register to courses within the Department of Economics, Department of English, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine and from the Slade School of Fine Arts.
  • Courses from the Political Sciences Department have limited capacity.
  • Courses from the Computer Science Department have very limited capacity.

    Entry Requirements 

    • Students should have achieved at least a 2:1 or equivalent (for example, a 3.3/4.0 GPA).
    • Students interested in applying to Computer Science must have completed 2 years of study. They must also have have a background in Computer Science and have completed at least 3 Computer Science modules per year (please note, this does not include “Minor” modules).
    • Students wishing to study in Computer Science cannot attend UCL in their final year of studies. For a 4-year undergraduate degree, a student can only apply in their 2nd year and attend UCL in their 3rd year.

    Module Selection

    • Students admitted to Computer Science should obtain 60 credits in each term, which usually taking four 15-credit modules. Students in Computer Science can take at most one non-Computer Science module in each term. A list of Computer Science modules offered to exchange students can be found at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/study-abroad-at-ucl/subjects/computer-science/
    • Applicants should search each module code at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/module-catalogue/ for the latest, most detailed information about a module, including methods of assessment. For students applying for Term 1 only, should be aware that they can only take modules that are offered in Term 1 and do not contain any method of assessment in Term 2 or Term 3. All “Controlled Condition Exams” are held in Term 3, however coursework can take place in Term 1, 2 or 3. Students applying for Term 2 can take any modules offered in Term 2.

  • Students must take into consideration the Course Exceptions and must confirm the timing and delivery mode of courses directly with the Host institution. Please note that virtual or remote courses are not permitted.
  • Proof of English Language proficiency may be required in order to obtain a visa.
