Open House International was a key publication in the field of housing, and served as a platform shared by researchers and experts across continents. Two volumes of the Open House International journal were guest edited by members of the Minimum Cost Housing Group. Seventeen Years of Minimum Cost Housing (1988) was guest edited by Witold Rybczinsky and Vikram Bhatt, and Designing Edible Landscapes (2009) was guest edited by Vikram Bhatt and Leila Marie Farah.
