Dr. Jose Tedoro
Biography:
Dr. Jose Tedoro is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry. The Teodoro lab has a long-standing interest in the role of viruses in cancer. A major research theme has been to study how viruses kill human cells in order to find better ways to destroy tumors. More recently research has focused on how viral proteins and oncogenic mutations affect cell cycle progression of cells. Dr. Teodoro teaches in the “Fundamental Virology” course (MIMM 324) for the Microbiology and Immunology Department. He coordinates and teaches the course “Laboratory Methods in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology” (BIOC 320) in the Department of Biochemistry. He also teaches in three graduate level courses in the Department of Experimental Medicine (EXMD 635, 504, 607).
