The Faculty Curriculum Committee (FCC) evaluates the academic quality of proposals for new and revised programs and courses in the Faculty. This work ensures that course and program proposals comply with McGill University guidelines and supports innovation and sound pedagogy in the Faculty’s teaching and research programs.
The committee examines the content, structure, course weights, rationale for changes, and logistical consistency of proposals and considers any inter-departmental or faculty overlaps. Approved courses and program proposals are then sent on for further review and approvals at the University level.
