A Year in Review
I’m pleased to share the 2024 HR Annual Report, a snapshot of who we are, who we support and the services and initiatives we provide our community.
When I reflect on 2024, I am proud of how we supported the Faculty’s mission and met the many challenges that came our way. In response to these challenges, we brought our HR Administration team together to combine their skills and abilities, improve processes and share the workload. Similarly, we adopted time-saving solutions and new technologies to help us to respond to the Faculty’s needs efficiently and professionally, and we provided expertise on navigating change and optimizing organizational efficiency. All the while, we continued to work hard to maintain an environment that supports work-life balance, employee well-being and professional growth.
In 2020, the pandemic thrust McGill and indeed the country into a period of upset and uncertainty, and now five years later, we find ourselves in a new period of uncertainty. While the way forward may be unclear at this moment, we can draw on the lessons learned in the pandemic to navigate today's challenges with strength and humility.
