Timeline for the CIHR Project Grant 

IMPORTANT:

• All applications must be submitted through ResearchNet by the deadlines below as set by OSR.
• Internal peer review is available for FMHS members. Please submit your Research Summary or Full Application by the deadlines below.

SPRING 2026 Deadlines

• Registration Deadline (ResearchNet): February 4th, 2026 (8PM)
  • FMHS Internal Peer Review (optional): January 21st, 2026
    • Internal peer review of the Research Summary (comments expected within 1 week)

• Full Application Deadline (ResearchNet): March 3rd, 2026 (10AM)
  • FMHS Internal Peer Review (optional): February 10th, 2026
    • Internal Peer Review of the Full Application (comments expected within 2 weeks)
  • OSR Detailed Review (optional): February 18th, 2026 (10AM)
  • OSR deadline for mandatory Research Funding Checklist: February 25th, 2026 (10 AM)

Note: FMHS Internal Peer Review is required to be eligible for Internal Bridge Funding.

• Notice of Decision: July 22nd, 2026
• Funding Start Date: October 1st, 2026
