Students in fourth and final year of undergraduate studies at McGill Faculty of Engineering, demonstrate through Capstone Projects well acquired knowledge and skills by working in teams on design projects. Projects start in September and end first week of April. Students select projects they are interested in, once projects and students are matched, work begins with a design during fall semester, and ends with a prototype in winter semester. All projects culminate in McGill Design Day where students, when unrestricted by a project NDA, present their projects to the public and to judges who are members of the industry and academia.

Our projects have a focus on medical devices and technologies, and comprise of multidisciplinary projects in which students from different departments can work together on a project. Project proposals are accepted from professors, companies, and student teams.
