About the Speaker

James Mehta holds a MBA from Concordia University and a B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. He started off his career as an R&D Engineer at Velan and Analyst at Bombardier Aerospace. Later he was a Program Manager at the RI-MUHC, where he managed and helped launch the Clinical Innovation Platform, a MedTech start-up incubator. Most recently, he was the Associate Director of Stakeholder Relations for NeuroHub, a software platform developed by McGill neuroscientists, where he marketed and developed the financial sustainability plan for the platform. Currently, as a Technology Transfer Manager he helps protect and commercialize intellectual property generated by McGill researchers. His domain of expertise includes a variety of engineering related technologies and medical devices.
