State-of-the-art methods for developing polygenic risk scores
This workshop will cover:
- Background and challenges in polygenic risk prediction
- Several state-of-the-art methods
* Pruning and thresholding / Conditional and joint multiple-SNP analysis (summary statistics-based)
* LDPred (summary statistics-based)
* Regularized regression (individual-level data-based)
* PolyPred (with functional annotation)
***Hands-on tutorials will cover implementation of all four methods***
- Discussion of other existing methods and choice of approach in practice
- Discussion of metrics of predictive performance
***All data and computation scripts will be made available. Experience with bash scripting will be helpful but NOT required***
