By public transport

The 419 bus is the most direct route. It runs frequently on weekdays at rush hour and every 30 minutes the rest of the day. On weekends from the end of June to the end of August, every 30 minutes between 10 am and 3 pm. This bus departs from Fairview Shopping Centre travelling west to the Macdonald Campus via Chemin Sainte-Marie. Get off at the corner of Chemin des Pins and Chemin Sainte-Marie, and walk along Chemin des Pins (ten minutes) to the Arboretum Gatehouse.

The 211 bus Bord-du-Lac, 405 Express Bord-du-Lac and 411 Express Lionel-Groulx line from Metro Station Lionel-Groulx end at the Macdonald Campus Bus Terminal. From there, it is a 40 minute walk northward across the Campus –not the best option on a cold and windy day due to the wide open landscape between the highways. Alternatively, there is a “taxibus” service that runs for a good part of the day, 7 days a week. Note that reservations need to be made in advance. The taxi will drop you off at the corner of Chemin Sainte-Marie and Chemin des Pins. See STM taxibus instructions and schedules.

The RTM Vaudreuil-Hudson train line stops in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. On week days at rush hour, take the taxibus service from the train station to the Chemin Sainte-Marie and Chemin des Pins intersection. Alternatively, you might consider taking your bicycle on the train and cycling over. The shortest route is to take the bicycle path northward from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue station (10 minutes) or head south towards the village and east to the lower Campus, then north to the Arboretum (20 minutes).
Important note: Bikes are not allowed on the trails and should be secured to the bike rack in the parking area near the Conservation Centre.
