Carols by Candlelight - My Neighbour's Faith Visit to the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul

Sunday, December 16, 2018 16:30to20:30
Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, 3415 Redpath St., corner of Sherbrooke, QC, CA

Caroling is an important element of the Christmas season for many Christians. Join MORSL for an interactive visit to the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul to learn more about this rich cultural tradition as well as the meaning and celebration of Christmas.

We have been graciously invited to meet the organist, tour the church, and enjoy a communal dinner before the beautiful candlelit caroling concert. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in interfaith learning and musical celebration!

When:   Sunday, December 16 from 4:45 to 8:30pm
Where: 3415 Redpath St. (corner of Sherbrooke)

Please meet us at the Church of St. Andrew & St. Paul. Enter by the side door on Redpath Street – 3415 Redpath, just up from the circular drive and ask to be directed to the Iona Room – our host's office is beside the Iona Room where you can leave your coats and boots.

Free but registration is required via our webform.

Bonus: As part of MORSL's Ny Neighbour's Faith series, McGill students are eligible for recognition on their co-curricular record. Signup here and we'll submit your details to myInvolvement for recognition on your McGill student co-curricular record after the event concludes.

Part of the "My Neighbour’s Faith" series of visits to religious organizations and sacred sites around Montreal to learn about different faith traditions, observe a religious practice, and ask questions of community members. After a guided visit, participants join members of this congregation for a community meal followed by a Q&A to gain a better understanding of the meaning of music in this holiday for members of this faith community. Through exposure, dialogue and experiential learning, students who participate in these visits become better equipped to live harmoniously in a pluralistic society.
