The Event
The Parliament of the World’s Religions brings together leaders and individuals from various religious backgrounds in order to foster and celebrate the ongoing work of spiritual and religious communities working towards a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world. This year’s parliament was themed: A Call to Conscience: Defending Freedom and Human Rights. The event was hosted in Chicago, USA, from August 14-18, 2023.
The MORSL Cohort of 2023
MORSL sponsored a cohort of students to attend the 2023 interfaith convention. As a participant in the MORSL cohort, students were able to debrief with fellow McGill students and reflect on the learning. Each student produced a final reflection piece as a way of sharing their experiences and thoughts surrounding the conference. Students gained experience in self-reflection, creative thinking and collaboration.
