Denis Bluteau is a graduate of the Conservatoire de Musique in Chicoutimi and he is also a graduate from the University of Montreal, where he studied under former Orchestre symphonique de Montréal principal flutist Robert Langevin (who is now a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony). Denis Bluteau earned a Master's degree in 1988. He has been a member of the Canadian National Ballet Orchestra and also of the Vancouver Symphony. He is now associate principal flute of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Denis teaches at McGill University, at Université de Montréal and at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal.
