Schulich alumni recognized in 2018 Montréal SOCAN Awards

The 29th edition of the Montréal SOCAN awards were held at La Tohu on Tuesday night (Oct. 2), and several Schulich alumni stood out among the winners, including:

Jean-Olivier Bégin (BMus 2003), Screen Composer of the Year; Chet Doxas (BMus 2004, MMus 2008), Hagood Hardy AwardJames O'Callaghan (MMus 2014), Jan V. Matejcek Award; and Marc Ouellette (BMus 1993), Film Music Award.

Established to highlight songwriting, composing and music publishing achievements of SOCAN members, over 4000 awards have been given out since the award's first year in 1990. Congratulations to all of the SOCAN Award winners!
