Parking Information

Drop off zones

People may be dropped off/picked up at the hospital main entrance on University Ave. Vehicles must then either park in the parking lot or leave the premises. All entrances, exits and roads must be free of vehicles for safety and security reasons. The City of Montreal is permitted to issue parking tickets for vehicles illegally parked on The Neuro grounds.

Handicap access

The Neuro has three handicap-accessible entrances. They are in these zones:

  • to the left of the building’s main entrance on University Street
  • through The Neuro Emergency Department entrance at the back of the hospital

Eight parking spots at the Neuro Emergency Department entrance at the back of the hospital. 

MNI/McGill Sports Complex (Molson Stadium)

Six parking spots in the lot behind Molson Stadium.  
Please note: When the Alouettes play a home game, there is no access to the parking lot the day before and on game day.

Parking - Molson stadium

The Molson Stadium Parking is open to patients and visitors. 50 parking spaces are permanently reserved for patients and visitors to the Neuro. They are outlined in red on the plan below and located at the Sports Complex/Neuro Lot. Permit holders and those with yellow day passes are prohibited from using these spaces.

Directions to the parking lot: You will need to go to the top of University Street (past The Neuro) and turn right to enter the parking lot. 

Due to the football season, please note that the Percival-Molson Stadium parking lot and 6 of the 12 parking spaces at McConnell residence will not be available on certain dates. Please refer to the calendar below for dates.

The day before the football games, vehicles parked at the Percival-Molson Stadium and 6 of the 12 spaces at the McConnell residence must exit the parking lots according to the following dates and times:

  • May 24, June 19, July 5, July 10, July 24, August 9, August 24, September 5, vehicles must leave the parking lots before 4:00 p.m.
    Note: If parking is required after 4 p.m., use the 680 Sherbrooke garage (except on August 24 – please park at the Residences).
  • October 13, vehicles must leave the parking lots before 7:00 a.m. (please park at the Upper Residences)
  • October 25, vehicles must leave the parking lots before 7:00 a.m. (please park at the 680 Sherbrooke garage)

Parking options on game day:

Sports Complex lot (stadium/Neuro): No Parking

Permit holders and those with yellow day passes (scratch passes) must park in the following locations instead, depending on the date:

May 25, July 6, August 10, August 25, October 26:

  • Upper Residences (near Gardner Hall – 3925 University or McConnell Hall – 3905 University)

 


June 20, July 11, July 25, September 6, October 14:

  • 680 Sherbrooke garage (accessed from President-Kennedy, just west of Robert-Bourassa Blvd), open 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays only (closed on holidays and weekends). When parking in the 680 Sherbrooke garage, please show your parking permit or yellow day pass to the agent in the booth and display it in your vehicle.

 

MUHC Physicians

  • SPAQ permit holders:
    1. Please use the parking lot at the old RVH Legacy on P4, P5, P6 (closest to the Neuro) or P7.
  • MUHC permit holders:
    1. Please park in one of the 5 spaces reserved at the McConnell residence.
    2. Please come to one of our parking offices during opening hours to obtain a courtesy ticket which will allow you to park at the RVH Legacy site at P4, P5, P6 (closer to The Neuro ) or P7.

Staff on-call with MUHC permit

  • Please park in one of the 7 parking spaces reserved for staff on-call at the McConnell residence.

Patients of The Neuro

  • Patients of the Neuro should park at the old RVH from P4 to P7 and visit the security office of the Allen Memorial Institute (1025 Pine Avenue West)  to receive a reduced rate coupon.

RVH Legacy parking lot (p3/p4)

To benefit from the reduced rate, patient should visit the security desk at the Allen Memorial Institute (1025 Pine Avenue West) to receive a reduced rate coupon.

Directions to the parking lot: From any highway, follow the sign for downtown and exit at Atwater or Guy. Both will take you to Dr. Penfield where you will turn left on Peel Street and come up to Pine Ave. Pine is a one way going East, but you will stay in the right hand lane and when the light changes continue right up the driveway where you will be given a ticket to enter the parking.
