Studentships

Please note the following studentships are open to MNI students only.  Other studentships available to all students registered in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience (IPN) may be found on the IPN website.

The Jeanne Timmins Costello Studentship provides $10,000 stipend support towards student research and study in clinical and basic neuroscience.  The award is for one year and recipients can apply for one additional year of funding.

The Christian Geada Brain Tumour Research Studentship provides $10,000 stipend support to a graduate student (masters or doctoral level) conducting research directly related to brain tumours.

The Harold and Audrey Fisher Brain Tumour Training Studentship provides $10,000 stipend support to a graduate student (masters or doctoral level) conducting research directly related to brain tumours.

The Molson Neuro-Engineering Studentship provides $10,000 stipend support to a graduate student (masters or doctoral level) pursuing high-level work in neuroengineering.

The Tony Proudfoot Training Studentship in ALS provides $25,000 stipend support to masters and doctoral students wishing to pursue specialized research training in the field of ALS. 

All eligible students who have applied for the Jeanne Timmins Costello Studentship will be considered for the following awards:

The Desjardins Award of Excellence provides $20,000 stipend support to an outstanding graduate student (masters or doctoral level) as selected by the Studentship Awards Committee.

The Joan and Warren Chippindale Outstanding Student Award provides a $1500 award to the highest ranked graduate student (masters or doctoral level) based on strict selection criteria applied by the Studentship Awards Committee.
