From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Open Science: Knowledge for Everyone - Book launch

Join Montreal author and educator Monique Polak for the launch of her latest children’s book, Open Science: Knowledge for Everyone (Orca Book Publishers). This non-fiction book introduces readers aged 9 to 12 to the world of Open Science, which involves sharing knowledge. Teams of scientists around the world — including many neuroscientists — are working together to improve and speed up scientific research and share their results so that everyone benefits. 

Several of the Open Science pioneers readers will meet in this book are affiliated with The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital).

The author will donate her share of book sales to The Neuro's Tanenbaum Open Science Institute.
