Biography: 

Dr. Altman's clinical interests include:

  • Education - Teaching in neurology with a strong emphasis on clinical reasoning. Medical school, residency and post-graduate level.
  • Advanced general neurology - neurological complications of systemic diseases, including:
    • Sarcoidosis
    • Neuro-infectious diseases
    • Neuro-toxicology
    • Neuro-oncology
    • Vasculitis
    • Complications of rheumatic diseases
    • Paraneoplastic syndromes
  • Electromyography
  • Nerve and muscle diseases
  • Headache / craniofacial pain / migraine disorders:
    • Greater / lesser occipital nerve blocks.
  • Movement disorders
  • Parkinson's disease, essential tremor
  • Multiple sclerosis and other neuro-inflammatory disorders
