Les amis de la montagne is launching a vast citizens’ campaign entitled “We love our Mountain. Let’s support UNESCO status for Mount Royal,” in an effort to gather at least 30,000 signatures supporting the bid for Mount Royal’s inclusion on Canada’s 2017 Tentative List for World Heritage Sites. This is the first step towards having the place we affectionately call “the Mountain” designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
