Dr. Maude Abbott (1868-1940) BA (1890) was among Canada’s first women medical doctors.
An internationally renowned expert on congenital heart disease,
she was also curator of McGill’s medical museum.
A recent exhibition, in the Osler Library, curated by Professor Adams,
explored Abbott’s love of reading.
Dr. Annmarie Adams, Stevenson Chair in the History and Philosophy of Science,
holds joint appointments in the School of Architecture
and the Department of Social Studies of Medicine.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, and the Society of Architectural Historians.
We look forward to seeing you there.
