Catherine-Anne Miller joined ISoN as a full-time faculty member in January 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at McGill University and her graduate degree in health promotion and global health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She is completing graduate coursework in bioethics. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, she devoted many years to the neuroscience mission of the MUHC, particularly in her role as a clinical nurse specialist in the neuro-oncology program. She has worked in community health and global health, including her role as a nursing consultant in Nepal in 2004-2005. In 2015, she received the Award for Excellence in Neuroscience from the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada and the ISoN Award for Excellence in Preceptorship/Advising. In 2018 and 2019, she received the Nursing Undergraduate Society's Professor of the Year Award. She teaches core ethics theory courses and clinical courses in the undergraduate program and clinical reasoning in global health in the graduate program. She is the nursing faculty advisor for McGill's interprofessional global health course.
