Martyna is a clinical educator at McGill’s Ingram School of Nursing. She graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2009, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She began her career in cardiac surgery ICU at the Heart Institute in Ottawa, Ontario. After working as a nurse for three years, she moved to Bordeaux, France where she taught English courses to nursing students at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Bordeaux. Returning to Canada in 2014, she worked in a fast-paced medical clinic before moving to Montreal to further enrich her nursing experience. She worked as an ICU nurse for two and a half years in Montreal before embarking on her career at McGill. She started working as a clinical instructor in 2017, supervising students in the clinical setting. She is now working as a nursing clinical educator, and teaches health and physical assessment in the nursing laboratories, ensuring quality and best practice. She works in collaboration with fellow colleagues to empower and educate the future faces of the healthcare system.
