Susan Drouin is a lifelong learner. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing (University of New Brunswick), a Master of Science (Applied) in Nursing (McGill University) and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Education-(Health), (Royal Roads University) as well as a Doctor of Social Sciences (Royal Roads University). With over 40 years of nursing experience, she has been: a staff nurse, nurse manager, an associate director of nursing in women’s health, pediatrics, mental health, surgical services, and clinical and professional staff development. Susan has experience in governance, advocacy, and health system management—serving on the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Board of Directors and as President of the MUHC Council of Nurses. Susan’s held an appointment at the ISoN for 30 years and joined the faculty full-time in 2016. She earned her Canadian Health Executive (CHE) credentials from the Canadian College of Health Leaders in 2015 and, in 2023, was named to the Faculty Honour List for Educational Excellence in recognition to her outstanding contribution to education in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences.
