Master Programs

McGill’s Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) offers four Master degree programs.


Master of Science (Applied) in Nursing - [Direct-Entry concentrations]

Our Master of Science (Applied) in Nursing - [Direct-Entry concentrations] (MSc(A) - DE) is the program for you if you:
· hold a bachelor's degree in Arts or Science, comparable to the respective McGill undergraduate degree, and have no previous nursing preparation;
· and have successfully completed the Qualifying Year.

Master's of Science (Applied) in Nursing - [Nurse Bachelor Entry concentrations]

Our Master's of Science (Applied) in Nursing - [Nurse Bachelor Entry concentrations] (MSc(A) - NBE) - is the program for you if you are:
· a licensed Nurse holding a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) degree comparable to the respective McGill undergraduate degree.

Nurse Practitioner Program

McGill's Ingram School of Nursing offers four Nurse Practitioner concentrations for Nurse Bachelor Entry applicants: Mental Health, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Primary Care, in addition to options for Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas.

Global Health Concentration (GHC)

For candidates with a keen interest in global health, working with under-served populations locally, provincially and internationally, the ISoN Ingram School of Nursing has developed a concentration within the masters degree program: Global Health Concentration (GHC). This option, which is in alignment with the objectives of the MSc(A) program, is available both to Direct Entry (MSc(A) in Nursing - Global Health Direct Entry concentration) and Nurse Bachelor Entry (MSc(A) in Nursing - Global Health concentration) students.
