Applying to our residency program

Canadian trained medical graduates apply through Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS)

We welcome applicants from all around the globe.
International sponsored medical graduates apply to McGill's Faculty of Medicine

Both final-year medical students and those who have approved post-graduate training may apply to the Program. Usually, six PGY-1 and PGY-2 positions are available each year. Three are offered through the CIMS-Intern Match. These positions are funded by the provincial government and are without restriction regarding location of planned practice. Our Program can also accommodate one or two residents each year who are privately funded through official government or university channels.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology program encourages IMG applicants to come for an observership as part of their application process before the application deadline. Observerships will only be granted to those who have proof of funding and are planning to apply. Observerships must be completed before the application deadline. When applying for an observership please take into account that observership requests take 4 weeks to process.

In order to arrange an observership, first confirm that you are eligible to apply then contact the Obstetrics and Gynecology Coordinator by email at laura.ciccone [at] muhc.mcgill.ca  attaching a copy of your CV.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology program also strongly favors a working knowledge of French.
