Organizational Development, under the umbrella of My Healthy Workplace, is excited to announce that McGill is offering LinkedIn Learning for all regular Administrative, Support, and Trades Staff! This service will respond to the growing needs of our new virtual reality. What is LinkedIn Learning?

LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.

With more than 16,000 courses and personalized recommendations, you can discover, complete, and track courses related to your field and interests. You can also choose to add these courses and related skills to your LinkedIn profile once you've completed them.

McGill is offering access to LinkedIn Learning to regular Administrative and Support Staff at McGill. This pilot will allow McGill staff to:

· Access more than 16,000 courses in seven different languages

· Access online courses at any time from various devices

· Stay up-to-date with new courses released every week

· Follow robust learning paths and thousands of bite-sized videos for learning in the moment.

· Apply new skills with practice tools.

Who is eligible for LinkedIn Learning at McGill?

All Regular Administrative and Support Staff, SEU Staff, and all Tenure-Track Academics and Campus-Based Contract Academic Staff. Please note that your LinkedIn Learning account is for your own personal and professional development use and is not for use in the classroom. Do not share this invitation or your account information with anyone else.

 

How do I sign up for LinkedIn Learning?

What is the difference between LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning?

LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network with 690+ million users in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. It is used for networking, career progression, recruiting and applying for positions, etc. LinkedIn is not the same thing as LinkedIn Learning. LinkedIn Learning, formerly known as Lynda.com, is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.

Do I need a LinkedIn account to sign up for LinkedIn Learning?

No, you do not need a LinkedIn account to sign up for LinkedIn Learning. 

If I have LinkedIn account do I have to link it to my LinkedIn Learning account?

No, when setting up your LinkedIn Learning account you can choose to set up your LinkedIn Learning account with your McGill email address and not link it to your LinkedIn Learning account.
