Academic Half-Day Conference
Every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. all residents attend academic half-day teaching. This time is protected, as all residents across the different sites are relieved from clinical duties. Topics cover clinical orthopaedics as well as basic science.

Journal Club
We are the only Canadian University to receive an educational grant from the Orthopaedic Research and Education Fund (OREF). Funding covers monthly journal clubs that are hosted by our staff and rotate on an annual basis. All specialties are covered.

Grand Rounds
Grand Rounds are held at the Shriner's Hospital every other Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. The topic of Grand Rounds rotate through the services, including Paediatric Orthopaedics, Spine, Sports Medicine, Trauma, St. Mary's Hospital, Arthroplasty, Tumor, and Foot & Ankle.
