AGRI 499 Agricultural Development Internship
This course is complementary in the Global Food Security Major, in the Specialization in International Agriculture, and in the Minor in International Agriculture.
Eligibility criteria:
- You should have completed 60 credits in your program before taking this internship. Let me know if you have questions about your eligibility.

Your internship placement must be for at least 210h (e.g., 6 weeks at 35h/wk), and must be approved by me prior to registration.

Please send me these completed documents several days before the Add/Drop deadline of the term in which you want to register for AGRI 499.
When will I register for the internship?
Once I have received the needed documents and approved your internship, I will CC you on the request for a registration permit to be issued for you.
Is funding available for internships?
Competitive funding is available for summer internships through our Faculty's Internship Office. To receive funding for AGRI 499, you would need to concurrently register for FAES 200 (0 credits). For internships in Latin America, look into the McBurney Latin America Fellowship.
Are there other internships I can do?
Yes, there are other internships you can do for credits or not. FAES 200 is a non-credited internship, and FAES 300 is a 3-credit internship (see Ms. Kendra Gray in the Internship Office to take these).
