Our Services & Staff

The Office for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education provides confidential, non-judgmental and non-directional support and education to students, faculty and staff of all genders who have been impacted by sexual violence. Our services can be accessed in both French and English.

We collect and maintain non identifying data on disclosures and reports of sexual violence on campus.

Our Services

Support and Advocacy

We seek to empower individuals impacted by sexual violence in making informed decisions based on their identified needs.

  • Crisis intervention & short-term crisis counselling

  • Resource coordination and referrals to on and off-campus services (medical, emotional)

  • Reporting information (McGill policies and procedures, McGill Security, police)

  • Accompaniment through internal and external reporting processes

  • Survivor support activities

Awareness and Prevention Initiatives

We believe that responding to and preventing sexual violence begins with critically exploring gender expectations, stereotypes, harmful social norms, and dynamics of power and privilege.
