On March 28th 2019, McGill University's Board of Governors has adopted the revised Policy against Sexual Violence (updated from 2016), confirming the University's commitment to ensuring that its campuses are free of acts of sexual violence. One of the key changes brought about by the revised Policy is the creation of a centralized reporting and investigative procedure, led by an independent special investigator.

Filing a report

The Office for Mediation and Reporting (OMR) receives all reports of sexual violence at McGill.  Click here to access more information about the OMR.

You can book a consultation with the OMR by filling out this online form or by emailing them at omr [at] mcgill.ca.

Once an investigation is completed, the report is given to the Provost, the complainant, and the respondent.  If there is cause for discipline, the Provost transmits the report to the appropriate disciplinary authority.
