Jewish General Hospital Nurses

Kathia Dorcélus-Cétoute, Nurse, MSc, CHPCN(C)  Kathia is the Head Nurse at The Marjorie & Gerald Bronfman Division of Palliative Care at the Jewish General Hospital.  She began her career as a beneficiary attendant. Rich in her experience in helping vulnerable clients, she studied nursing at the CÉGEP du Bois de Boulogne. She began her career as a palliative care nurse, an environment that was unknown to her at the time, but which had proven to be her place as a professional. She has now been working in the Palliative Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital for nearly 14 years. Passionate about care, she completed her studies with her bachelor's degree at the Université de Montréal in 2009 and then most recently graduated to the master's degree at the Université de Montréal in May 2018. Her directed work then focused on the legalization of medical assistance to die and its impact in health care settings. Kathia holds her palliative care certification.
