Lifelong Learning

You may be interested in enrolling in a Master’s or a PhD program, taking an Epidemiology and Biostatistics Summer Session or enrolling in a French course. You also have the option of attending educational enhancement activities and workshops. A Life Support course may also be mandatory for your program. Lifelong learning continues!

Other Courses

Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Registration information and a list of courses is available directly through the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health departmental website. Trainees are required to pay to take courses offered by the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health.  Questions concerning course fees may be addressed to Student Accounts

Life Support Courses

Trainees covered by a contractual agreement between McGill University and their sponsor are covered for the following courses by the Faculty of Medicine: ACLS, ATLS, PALS and ALSO. These are courses are arranged for you via your Program Directors’ office.

Master's and PhD

If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies while working as a medical resident or as a fellow, you will need to contact the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies office. It is not possible for trainees to be registered in three full-time programs. 

Mandatory Documents
Non-Canadian trainees, who hold a Work Permit to complete a residency or fellowship program at McGill, must also obtain a Certificate of Acceptance (CAQ) from Immigration Quebec and a Study Permit from CIC to study legally in Canada if enrolled in a program lasting 6 months or longer.
