Multiple alternatives exists to participate in the Health and Fitness Promotion Lab at the undergraduate level. The three main paths that people take are NSERC/USRA application, practicums/undergraduate research courses and volunteering. All of these alternatives will allow you to work with patients in one of our studies, develop your knowledge of any of our patient populations as well as understand what it means to participate in research. Many of our undergrads have produced publications presented at seminars and the McGill undergraduate research day. If you are interested in participating in the lab feel free to contact us to apply or for more information. Keep in mind that although we would like to accomodate everyone in the lab space is limited and you may need to apply at a different time.
Some of the things we value in undergraduate applicants:
- Hard workers both academically and in extra curricular activities
- Knowledge of both french and english
- A good foundation in statistics
- Good people skills
- Positive attitude
- Flexibility
