Maintenance, Operations, and Upgrades

Sustainable Practices in Daily Operations

FMAS not only emphasizes sustainability during the planning, design, and construction phases but also integrates sustainable practices into the daily maintenance and operations of buildings and grounds. Some of the measures include:

  • Preventative Maintenance Programs: FMAS has developed and implemented regular preventative maintenance programs that contribute to the extended lifespan of equipment.
  • Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products: The team is phasing out petrochemical-based cleaners in regular janitorial services and replacing them with products that meet environmental standards.
  • Microfiber Cloths: The use of microfiber cloths, instead of conventional rags, helps minimize the amount of cleaning product required.
  • Water-Only Cleaning Equipment: FMAS utilizes water-only floor scrubbing machines and steam-cleaning wands, which collectively save about 515 liters of cleaning products annually.
