I am an undergraduate psychology student with a minor in biotechnology doing my Honours project in Dr Suzanne King’s lab. I will be investigating the interplay of prenatal maternal stress, infant temperament, and genetic factors in the children of mothers who were pregnant during the 2008 Iowa flood.
My interests lie broadly in biological psychiatry, and more specifically in the neural correlates of pathological anxiety. I am excited to be working in Dr King’s lab to get a better understand of developmental and genetic factors that may contribute to later mental illness. I have previously volunteered in a lab studying the neural correlates of memory and natural forgetting.
