Arnaud Charil, Ph.D.

I was a Postdoctoral Fellow under the supervision of Dr Suzanne King at the Douglas Hospital Research Centre, Psychosocial Research Division / Mcgill University, Department of Psychiatry.

My background is in cellular biology and physiology, neurosciences and brain imaging. I completed my PhD in Neurological Sciences under the mentorship of Dr Alain Dagher at the Montreal Neurological Institute - McGill University, where I studied the morphological and functional correlates of disability in multiple sclerosis using MRI/fMRI. I also spent some time in Milan (Ospedale San Raffaele) and Boston (Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Radiology Department, Center for Neurological Imaging) where I worked on brain imaging in multiple sclerosis.

The main focus of my research was to investigate the effects of prenatal maternal stress on brain development using structural MRI, magnetization transfer
imaging (MTI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI).
