Dr. Booij is a Full Professor in the Psychiatry department and Psychologist and Head of Research and Academic Development of the Eating Disorders Continuum at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. She leads a research program that focuses on the biopsychosocial pathways of eating disorders. The work includes studies on the neurobiology of eating disorders, biopsychosocial predictors and trajectories of treatment response, as well as the development and application of virtual interventions.
