By Prof. Virginie Millien (Director, Gault Nature Reserve and Redpath Museum). Dr. Millien's research focuses on the evolution of mammalian diversity in a changing environment. She examines ecotypic variation and climate change, the evolution of species on islands, the effects of climate change and isolation on morphological evolution, functional morphology in fossil rodents and other mammals, competition and community size structure among coexisting species and more recently, she has been working on the emergence of Lyme disease in Quebec.
