Wednesday, April 17, 2019 10:30to12:00

McGill University's INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS unit is hosting an INFORMATION SESSION ON :

MITACS PROGRAMS

April 17th, 2019 in the James Administration Building (845 Sherbrooke West)– Room 302, 10:30 to 12 pm

The goal of this outreach session is to provide information on the available programs sponsored by Mitacs, which offer financial assistance to students and post-docs interested in undertaking research through a university-business partnership. This session would also benefit faculty members as these programs can lead to new connections with Canadian and international companies, the non-profit sector and international academia as well as increased funding and unique training opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows through applied, research projects.

McGill will host Mitacs representatives who will present various programs and provide helpful tips on how to mix and match these programs. They will also provide details on projects that have successfully used these programs to the advantage of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and researchers. The Industry Partnerships Unit will also provide a quick overview of the administration of these grants.

Discussions will centre on the following programs:

Speakers: Noha Gerges, Business Development Specialist, Mitacs

François Bilodeau, Business Development Director, Mitacs

Rina Cohen, Industry Partnerships Officer, Office of Research and Innovation
