Consultation on the Strategic Research Plan 2019-2024
As McGill’s Vice-Principal of Research and Innovation, I am committed to ongoing investment in our research strengths, to capitalizing on new opportunities and to enhancing the University’s innovative research environment. Over the next several months, the Office of the VP-RI will work collaboratively with colleagues on both campuses to articulate a vision for the next five years with a new Strategic Research Plan (SRP). The McGill University Senate has been informed of the renewal process and a team is dedicated to support the drafting of the SRP.
I encourage the McGill community— students, faculty and staff—to help shape the themes and subthemes of the renewed SRP, as well as potential areas of innovation. Your feedback will also help to refine our strategic objectives and the metrics by which we will measure our success. Once complete, the SRP will serve as a roadmap for research excellence at McGill until 2024.
You may submit comments and feedback through our online form until May 31. You may also get in touch with the office of the VP-RI by srp2019.vprir [at] mcgill.ca (subject: SRP%20Feedback) (emailing us). Thank you for contributing to this important initiative.
