Student Services to close at 4pm on October 1st

All Student Services offices will close at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1st, in order to provide staff with four consecutive hours for voting while polls are open, as is required by the province. 

All classes, laboratories and examinations in all Faculties – as well as in the School of Continuing Studies – are cancelled on Monday, October 1, 2018.


If you are a McGill student and eligible to vote, please note that you will be able to vote in advance polls on McGill’s downtown campus. Advance polling on campus will take place at:

Carrefour Sherbrooke Student Residence
475 Sherbrooke Street West

  • September 21, 25 and 26: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • September 27: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Advance polling on campus is open to full-time or part-time McGill students only (not staff). Students must present valid McGill ID to electoral staff upon entering the building in order to access the polling area.
