From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Speaker: Kate Bligh MFA PPCC
Senior communications consultant; executive coach; trainer & facilitator; lecturer at Concordia University

Kate Bligh has been providing training (Skillful Communication; Constructive Feedback; Giving Bad News; Non-Violent Communication; Cultural Sensitivity) to residents in the Surgical Foundations Program for the last decade, and more recently for PGME. As a communications consultant she has worked with physicians, CEOs, politicians at the federal, provincial, and municipal level, and with community groups such as the Côte-des-Neiges Black Community Association. She trained initially as a theatre director, and practiced in this artform as a director, playwright, and dramaturge for three decades, with a focus on interculturality. She teaches in the departments of English, Irish Studies, and Theatre at Concordia University.
