As social sustainability becomes a growing conversation, it is increasingly important to articulate and integrate social justice into sustainability. Join this 2 hour workshop to learn some basic vocabulary and tools to analyze how sustainability is rooted in societal power dynamics, and open up the conversation on how we can build safer spaces in our community. Participants will engage in activities about how society is structured, learn about basic vocabulary, reflect on their own privilege or lack thereof, and practice analyzing an environmental issue through a social lens.

This workshop is presented by the McGill Office of Sustainability as part of SKILLS21, a skills development program for McGill undergraduate students.
