Some changes come in big waves; others start with a single drop. The Tiny Stream is a simpler, faster application process for ad-hoc initiatives like workshops and events (usually less than $250) that contribute to a culture of sustainability at McGill.
Let’s dive in.
Step 1: Review SPF Reference Documents
In order for your project to be eligible, it must meet the following criteria:
- Project led by a current McGill student or staff,
- Project takes place on a McGill campus,
- Project is sustainability-focused and managed sustainably,
- Project involves and benefits the McGill community, and
- Project has a reasonable budget that makes sense in the context of the project's scope and people reached.
Project teams should also consult the following documents before starting the application process:
Step 2: Fill out the Project Application Form
IMPORTANT: By default, Word will open downloaded files in 'read-only' view and the document may appear to be locked. This is NOT the case: in order to complete the forms in the fields provided, simply press the 'Esc' key to return to your regular view ('Print layout') and edit as appropriate.
Step 3: Upload your application
Upload your completed application form to complete the process.
|Please Note: you have to be signed in to upload an application|
The Tiny Stream accepts applications on the 1st of every month.
The SPF staff will contact you within two weeks after the deadline to provide you with feedback.
Funding requests should be made at least one month prior to the schedule start date of your initiative. If you apply less than a month in advance, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to review your application in time.
