Biography: 

Dr. Jiangbo Yu is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at McGill University, specializing in shared automated electric mobility systems. As a registered Professional Engineer (PE) and a licensed Professional Transportation Planner (PTP), his academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to sustainable infrastructure and community resilience. Dr. Yu is currently investigating how to utilize the synergies of human intelligence and artificial intelligence to design and implement future mobility systems that enhance urban development and climate adaptation.

 

Prior to joining McGill, Dr. Yu enriched his expertise as a research affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a senior engineer at AECOM, an infrastructure consulting firm. He served as a postdoctoral researcher at University of California, Irvine, where he also earned his PhD. Dr. Yu holds Master’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology.
