An obvious path to a low-carbon economy requires a simultaneous increase in the penetration of variable renewable energy sources and an increase in the efficiency of the energy system overall. This will require the integration of energy vectors (e.g. electricity, fuels, thermal), both physically and organizationally.
TISED hosts this ICUF James M. Flaherty Lecture wherein Prof. Mark O'Malley will guide us through the multidisciplinary maze to achieve a more integrated energy system using examples from around the world. He’ll also explore challenges relevant for Quebec, together with you!
