The WMS now has a new type of block, the 'Hero' block. Hero blocks are top notch design elements you can add to a specific region (the 'Highlighted' region) for the purpose of really highlighting your site or page. There really isn't anything like them, so give it a try.
If you have Site Administrator or Site Manager access, you can create a Hero block just like any other block:
- Log in to your site
- Go to Add block
- Choose "McGill Hero Block"
- Give your block a label so you can find it easily in the block admin interface
- Upload an image to be used as your hero image, the bigger the better (minimum 1900px/700px)
- Give your image some Alt text
This block is a great tool for adding impact on key pages of your site.
