  • A mental health service available 24/7 through your SSMU, MCSS or PGSS insurance that connects students with qualified professionals over the phone, video conference or in person.
  • You can call 1-844-741-6389 at any time, or log in to the website (password: Studentcare) for additional resources. 

Complete wellness exercises alone?

Try Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)

  • An online program that was designed to address issues related to anxiety and depression.
  • It can be accessed through the website (click "Sign Up in Self-Help with an Institution") or its app (on Google Play and the App Store) and provides you with videos and exercises.

 


Chat online with trained volunteers?

Try 7 Cups

  • An app that lets you chat online 24/7 with trained volunteers.
  • Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or anything else, through 7 Cups you can chat or join a scheduled group session, anonymously and for free.

Share your problems with a volunteer?

Try Vent Over Tea

  • A volunteer-run program that allows you to schedule a session with an active listener in your area at a coffee or tea shop of your choice.
  • Based in Montreal, founded by McGill graduates and available in English or French.
